SCANNER

Scanners allow information such as a photo or text to be input into

 a computer i.e. it is used to convert hard-copy into soft-copy. 

Scanners are usually either A4 size (flatbed), as shown below or 

hand-held to scan a much smaller area.

Scanner uses the LASER technology, and these are equipped with 

the Optical Character Recognition (OCR) ability, which is the 

ability to read printed information into a computer system.
